Igra Labs has opened public access to its mainnet, a decentralized Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) layer built atop Kaspa’s proof-of-work BlockDAG architecture. The launch follows six months of rigorous testing, during which the testnet processed over 730,000 transactions across 21 million blocks without a single instance of state divergence. A security audit by Sigma Prime found no unresolved issues, underscoring the network’s robustness.

Kaspa, a proof-of-work blockchain with a market capitalization nearing $1 billion and more than 500,000 active addresses, has seen latent demand for on-chain activity. This was evident when daily transactions surged to 1.2 million following the launch of KRC-20 token protocol functionality. Despite this demand, the ecosystem has struggled with less than $1 million in DeFi total value locked, primarily due to the absence of a programmable smart contract layer. Igra Network aims to bridge this gap by offering full EVM compatibility while inheriting Kaspa’s security.

The network’s design delegates transaction ordering entirely to Kaspa’s base layer, eliminating the need for a centralized sequencer. Miners sequence transactions without accessing their contents, a structural feature that enhances privacy and security. With over 100,000 Solidity developers worldwide, Igra Network is poised to unlock new possibilities for Kaspa’s ecosystem.
